Edward "Eddie F" Ferrell is an American producer, DJ, songwriter, executive and entrepreneur. He has produced, written and collaborated with 2Pac, Mary J. Blige, Donell Jones, Erick Sermon, Taral Hicks, LA Reid, Miss Jones, Usher, GUY, LL Cool J, Jay-Z and Al B. Sure!
Credited with originating the first modern "production camp," his Untouchables team featured multi-platinum production and writing architects — Eddie F himself, Pete Rock, Dave Hall, Kenny Greene, Mary Brown, Kenny Smoove and Donell Jones — who produced, wrote and remixed for TLC, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, LL Cool J, Will Smith, Jodeci, Destiny’s Child, Jaheim, Heavy D, Luther Vandross and Run-DMC.
A pioneer of the sampling era, Eddie F and Untouchables are also credited with creating the first "featured artist remix" — the 1990 rework of Johnny Gill’s "Rub U The Right Way" featuring CL Smooth.
The Mount Vernon, New York native began as co-founder and partner of Heavy D & the Boyz, co-writing Uptown Records' first two singles and shaping the gold-certified Living Large plus the platinum Big Tyme and Peaceful Journey.
As of recent Eddie F has also launched Afro America Unlimited, a label and talent resource built to push the Afrobeat genre forward.
